Grumblings and motion to make deadlines, graduation, jobs. There seems to be a moment every few years where everything seems to be stirred up, typically when a senior person leaves and everyone else wonders what is in store in their future. Only thing is that the last time I felt this energy, three people quit. As Marge says in an episode of the Simpsons, don't make fun of graduate students, they are only people who made a terrible life decision.
